Designated by The North Carolina State Legislature as The State Shakespeare Festival, NCSF has been producing the world’s great classics, particularly the works of William Shakespeare, since 1977. NCSF is proud of its rich history of statewide service, its commitment to operating as a full professional Equity theatre and its recognition as an important North Carolina cultural, artistic and educational resource. NCSF will again tour GlobeWorks to middle and high school students in early 2006, and recently introduced ShakeSpirit, school visitations available year round, both programs described in the For Educators section above.
